The situation in Macedonia is once again escalating. The agreement arranged under EU assistance in 2015 between the Macedonian opposition and the goverment obviously failed to succeed. A rabid crowd is now again protesting against the government, which they say it was corrupt and not trustworthy. A collapse of public order in Macedonia would severely harm EU migration policy. Additionally the relationship between EU and Russia will further deteriorate. Now it is urgent, that EU meets its responsibility and intervenes in this conflict in the interest of the stability of Europe. Russia should certainly be part of the intervention game, too. A concerted action is the only promising way.
